About Me

Hi there!  Ever since I was little, I was always fascinated by how the mind works, what drives people to behave the way they do, and how people relate to one another.  I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan where I eventually earned my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics at the University of Michigan.  After working in the mental health field for 5 years, I moved to Southern California to pursue my Master's in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University.  I provided psychotherapy to clients in Ventura and LA county for 11 years and am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.  I am also a proud member of CAMFT, the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.

I recently move back to my home state of Michigan where I am also licensed and I am excited to continue building my telehealth therapy practice with both California and Michigan clients.

My Approach

I believe it's important to collaborate with my client to figure out what works best for them.  Some clients prefer a more structured approach involving therapeutic exercises, homework assignments, and ways to measure their progress toward specific goals.  Other clients prefer a looser, more intuitive approach where we practice mindfulness-based techniques and address how thoughts and emotions are affecting them physically.  I have also done extensive training on Attachment Theory, Complex-PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, among others.  Regardless of the approach, I am here to provide a safe space for you to process painful feelings, feel understood and cared for, and explore new ways to cope with what is troubling you so you can move toward feeling empowered and balanced in your life.
